Came across your podcast on peanut allergies. As someone with a severe peanut allergy (near anaphylactic experience before adrenaline saved my life) I think your podcast did not do justice to the severity of the allergy. It may be true that the number of “actually” allergic people is overestimated, but playing down how scary it can be to go through your throat closing isn’t the answer either. I don’t live in a bubble and I would rather deprive a plane of people for a few hours from being served a bag of potentially airborne peanut particles than be told I’m not allowed to get on a plane. Doesn’t seem that crazy to ask an airline to serve pretzels instead. I totally respect your right to have your own opinions, I just think that this episode felt somewhat offensive to those actually loving with this.
