I was listening to the story about sweat when one little thing caught my ear. You mentioned that it is believed that pit hair helps in that it wicks sweat away from the skin, allowing it to evaporate quicker. Part of me wonders if pubic hair serves a similar function, in that case not only to reduce odor, but also helping avoid other problems that arise from overly moist skin, especially there by the genitilia.

Yes, pubic hair serves the same function, as do hairs around the nipples. Basically in all areas that have those particular glands there is similar curly hair that serves that purpose, it is simply more concentrated in the arm pits which I why I made that mention. Crotch sweat is very similar to underarm sweat, there’s just not as much of it.
