Congratulations Adam on your impending fatherhood. No doubt Pat and Christina have primed you for the world of woo you are entering. Always wanted to hear a podcast on Skeptical Parenting, so it will be great to hear you share your stories.

Thanks Alex! Just in the world of pregnancy there are already a few potential topics I’ve thought of covering. Effectiveness of pregnancy tests. Determining the sex of the child through ultra sound and all the silly superstitions about other ways of telling the sex. “Months” as a metric for measuring pregnancy and due dates vs. conceptions date and such. Frequency of miscarriages at various stages of pregnancy. All this and we’re just starting the 2nd trimester!

Love the podcast. I’ve been an addicted fan for over five years now. Regarding “fall” and “autumn,” usage in the United States may vary by region, but where I grew up (Rocky Mountain West), the two were 100% interchangeable, with “autumn” perhaps sounding a little more formal. But both are absolutely in use in the United States, just like in Canada.
